Japanese drumming under the Spanish sun?
Here's your chance!

Taiko means 'drum' in Japanese. Japanese drums are played in a very physically intense way. Large drums and thick sticks characterise this spectacular drumming style.

Where?

Our workshop venue is atop a mountaintop in the mountains of Valencia.

Here you have a fantastic view. We stay at Casa Lo-Es. Here we find a well-equipped kitchen, lovely places to sleep and a nice pool.

For whom?

A lot or little musical experience? It doesn't matter.

The week is designed to provide space and individual attention for every level. You do not need to have a musical background or sports experience.

By whom?

By Erwin Oudshoorn, artistic director of Circle Percussion. He is creator and founder of IDÕ Drum Workouts and has been playing Japanese drums for some 30 years now.

He has been running taiko workshops in Spain for 17 years. His training was mainly with masters from the house of the renowned Japanese taiko group KODÕ.
